Did you know, depression can be a problematic co-diagnose condition. Approximately 33% of lupus patients report clinical depression, nearly double the incidence in the general population.
Living with Lupus can very challenging! The feelings of unhappiness, frustration, anger and sadness and uncertainty of what each day will bring. It is normal to grieve for the loss of the life you had before Lupus. Some of the causes of depression may be dealing with Lupus itself, but medications like steroids taken for inflammation may also play a part.
In this episode of Marlene’s Kaleidoscope Round Table, we will speak about how depression can affect people with Lupus. Dr. Susan L. Wilson will talk about the connection with Lupus and depression and the relationship, and how to manage to live with Lupus.
